EXPRESS – Preparation of elaborations and studies for a digital experimental field

At present, an almost unmanageable flood of digital technologies promises what actually seemed unthinkable: the reconciliation of economy and ecology - aligned with the guiding principle of highly efficient agriculture that simultaneously protects the environment and biodiversity. Many manufacturers of agricultural technology now also offer appropriate solutions for the cultivation of fruit and wine. It is almost impossible to keep track of the numerous solutions available, and many farms do not have the time or money to intensively explore the potential of digital technologies.

The EXPRESS project is testing digital technologies for crop production together with farmers from Saxony on three regional experimental fields. Various market-ready technologies are being put through their paces. A comprehensive knowledge transfer strategy ensures that, in the end, all stakeholders involved benefit from the findings.

The EXPRESS project consortium has subcontracted IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH to prepare several elaborations and studies in the context of the project goals.
